Dumpster Diving

So I was leaving my apt complex this morning and noticed this sitting by the dumpster:

You better believe I snagged it and washed it down with Clorox.
It's as good as new.

We have a thing here in cleveland called "tree lawn"...if you are getting rid of something you put it out on the front of your lawn for other's to take. There are some people that you see everyday before garbage day, driving slowly by everyone's garbage and looking through the garbage to see if there is something they want. Some people will load up the entire bed of their truck with someone's trash....one man's trash is another man's treasure i guess. :) I have never been successful...except one time i was on a walk and found a perfectly new chair that i took to use as a prop for my photography. :)

I did all kinds of dumpster diving while living in Provo. Typically it was to the Provo Bakery a few blocks south of my apartment. At midnight on Friday we would drive down there and dive in (yes, we climbed in) to retrieve the double-bagged bags of orange rolls and other delicacies made that very day that were not sold.

Random story. Great find on the saucer.
