Sara on the Carousel

Every Thursday, Sara and I go to the mall for kids day. They have all kinds of fun activities, but Sara's favorite is to ride the carousel. The first couple of times she wouldn't sit on the horse and we sat on the bench instead, but now she LOVES it. She is so cute and waves at everyone as we go by like she's in a parade. She is going to be 16 months next week and we are just having a blast.

Currently we are in transition from 2 naps to 1 and it's going pretty well, so far. I knew she was ready when she started to wake up in the middle of the night from getting too much sleep during the day. The late evenings are a little rough right now because she starts to get pretty tired by 5 o'clock or so, but we push her bedtime to 7. She is such a great little girl and we are loving every minute. Her vocabulary is definitely improving and we practice every day. She loves to say 'thanks' (which sounds a little more like 'dots') to everything I give her or do, even when we pick up toys together. She is so happy all the time and everyone loves her big smile and bright blue eyes. Her blonde curly hair is getting so long, I even had it in pigtails the other day.

As for us... C takes the bar next week and we are both very anxious to have that over with. I think this has seemed like the longest year ever in some ways and we are looking forward to whatever the future may bring. We are getting more familiar and comfortable with Arizona. It sure is nice to go to the park in February. C and I are staying busy with our callings, he is teaching Sunday School to the 12 and 13 year olds and was just called as EQ Secretary. He will do a great job, of course. I am serving as the Beehive Advisor and was recently called as the Assistant Ward Camp Director. The Bishop assures me that Girls Camp is much different here than it was in Oklahoma, so it will be an adventure.

Thanks to all our friends and family that have supported us over this past year. We've endured many changes and are excited to call Arizona home and see what happens from here. Hope you are all having a great 2010 so far!

Dry Shampoo continued...

Okay, so this is how it works... basically the spray has a bit of a chalky texture. You spray it on your hair and let it sit for a minute, then comb it through. It absorbs the oil and gives you volume at the same time. I usually spray it right around my hairline against, my part, and a little in the back to get rid of the 'bed head'. I just tried it today for the second day in a row. My scalp feels a little bit dry, but my hair looks and feels clean! I also found out that Treseme makes a dry shampoo too and it has great ratings on makeupalley.com It's a little less expensive than the Big Sexy Hair brand. Let me know how it works!!
